About Meru National Park

Found on the northern side of the equator, this very pristine park is home to various wildlife e.g. Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, elephant, cheetah, eland, bush pig, reedbuck, hartebeest, buffalo and many reptile types. The vegetation is diverse and include luxuriant jungles, rivers, swanps and wooded plus open grassland. "Elsa The Lioness" of the BORN FREE movie fame was raised here by George & Joy Adamson. Mt. Kenya, Adamson's Falls and Tana River can be viewed from this park
