What to Expect
9-DAY KENYA LUXURY SAFARI IN ALL MOJOR PARKS IN KENYA
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu game Reserve ( Approx 320 km ââ¬â 5.5 hrs drive)
Your safari will start with a pick-up at the JKIA airport or your hotel in Nairobi. After a brief meet and greet, our office representative will hand you over to your driver guide. You will later drive to Samburu Game Reserve.
On your way, you will have a stopover at the equator line in Nanyuki for a hemisphere demonstration. The experience is wonderful.
Proceed and arrive at Samburu Game Reserve and check in at Ashnil Samburu Camp in time for lunch. Freshen up and have hot lunch at the camp.
Around 4 PM, after having some time to relax, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive.
The main highlights of this Reserve are the abundance Presence of Samburu Special Five (also known as rare northern species); they include Grevyââ¬â¢s Zebra, Long-necked Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx. Apart from Samburuââ¬â¢s Special Five, the Reserve is also home to a population of close to 900 free-ranging Elephants, all three big cats (the lion, cheetah, and African Leopard) among many other animals. Also, you will have an opportunity to meet Masai people.
After the game drive, you will head to the camp to freshen up and proceed for a freshly prepared hot dinner. Later have overnight at the lodge
Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve
Today the program is flexible; you have two options to choose from:
Option one: You may opt to have an early morning game drive, return for a hot breakfast, freshen up and spend the rest of the mid-morning at leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive. Finally, return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Option two: You may have an early breakfast and proceed for a whole day game drive with packed lunch. Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and turn in for the night.
Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve to Olpajeta conservancy (1Approx 20 km - 2 hrs drive)
You will have an early morning game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast. Later you will check out and drive to Olpajeta conservancy arriving around noon at the conservancy.
Check-in at Sweetwaters Serena Camp. Freshen up and have some time to rest and enjoy the property after having a hot lunch.
Around 4 Pm, proceed for an afternoon game drive. The game drive starts at the gate since the camp is located inside the Conservancy.
The Conservancy is celebrated for hosting the only two remaining endangered northern white Rhinos in the world. Houses Sweetwaterââ¬â¢s Chimpanzee Sanctuary for orphaned, abandoned, and rescued chimpanzees, the only one of its kind in Kenya. Itââ¬â¢s East Africaââ¬â¢s Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary and home to the ââ¬ËBig Five (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard),
After the game drive, we will head back to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy dinner. Have overnight at the Camp.
Day 4: Olpajeta conservancy
Today you will have an early breakfast followed by a morning game drive.
You will return to the camp around mid-day and spend the rest of the midmorning at your leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing and watching animals as they come to drink water at the water hole.
Later have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive as you visit Sweetwaterââ¬â¢s Chimpanzee Sanctuary to see Chimpanzee. Clients enjoy listening to the closest relative to humankind. You may also have an optional visit (USD 60PP) to see the only two remaining northern white Rhinos in the world.
Finally, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Olpajeta Conservancy to Lake Nakuru National Park (Approx 150 km - 3 hrs drive)
After breakfast at the camp, you will head to Lake Nakuru National Park.
On your way, you will have a stopover at Nyahururu for a chance to see the 74-meter Thomson's Falls. The oceanic breeze is wonderful here.
You will then proceed and arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Check-in at Sarova Lion hill Game Lodge. Freshen up and proceed for a hot lunch.
At around 4 pm, after having some time to relax, you will head for an afternoon game drive.
This park is renowned for hosting thousands, sometimes millions, of flamingos, hundreds of black and white rhinos, and highly endangered Rothschildââ¬â¢s giraffes. Also, it has the best scenery and opportunity to see Makalia Waterfall.
After the game drive, you will head to the camp/lodge to freshen up and proceed for a freshly prepared hot dinner. Later have overnight at the camp.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park ââ¬â Masai Mara National Reserve (Approx 300 km ââ¬â 4.5 hrs drive)
After having breakfast, you will head to Masai Mara, one of Africaââ¬â¢s Greatest Wildlife Reserves.
On your way, you will have a stopover at the Great Rift valley viewpoint for a panorama view of the escarpment.
You will proceed and arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch. Check-in at Mara Serena Lodge. Have some time to rest after having some hot lunch.
Around 4 pm, proceed for an afternoon game drive. Masai Mara is the highlight of every safari in Kenya. Reserve has the highest concentration of wildlife in Kenya. All the Big Five can easily be spotted together with many other animals.
Since your safari falls from July to October, you will have the privilege to witness the 7th wonder of the world, the annual wildebeest migration, especially while crossing the crocodile-loaded river Mara.
After the game drive, we will head back to the camp to freshen up and enjoy dinner. Have overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: 2nd Night at Masai Mara National Reserve
Breakfast and exit the lodge with packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara Reserve, searching for the Big 5 and other animals.
You will drive to the bank of River mara to witness the 7th wonder of the world, wildebeest migration, and Mara River crossing.
Day 8: 3rd and Last Night at Masai Mara National Reserve
Todayââ¬â¢s program is also very flexible; you can choose between three options.
Option 1: Breakfast and exit the lodge with packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara Reserve, searching for the Big 5 and other animals.
Option 2: You may opt to have an early morning game drive in search of the big cat and the killings, return for breakfast, freshen up and spend the rest of the mid-morning at your leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive around 4 pm, searching for Big five and other animals.
Option 3: Go on for an optional hot air balloon ride (USD 400pp) in the early morning, followed by mid-morning game drives before driving to the lodge for lunch. Later have an afternoon game drive together with an optional Masai village visit.
After the game drive, you will head to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve ââ¬â Nairobi (320 km- 5 hrs.)
Have an early game drive. Return to the lodge to freshen up and have a hot breakfast. After breakfast, you will exit the lodge and head back to Nairobi.
Depending on your flight back home, you will have a stopover at Lake Naivasha for an optional Hippo boat ride and animal sanctuary tour.
You will proceed with your journey to Nairobi, where you will spend the day with optional activities depending on your flight schedule.
Some Nairobi excursions are; a visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, a visit to the Giraffe Center, a Visit to Maasai Market, and a dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant for meat lovers, etc.
You will later be dropped off at your Nairobi Hotel or JKIA airport for your onward flight.
