What to Expect

Day 1: Nairobi / Masai Mara

Meet and greet at your hotel in the city at 0800hrs and immediately drive to Wilson Airport to catch the 1000hrs flight to Masai Mara. You will reach Olkiombo Airstrip at 1100hrs and meet your driver waiting at the airstrip. You will then enjoy a rewarding mid-morning game drive within the Masai Mara Reserve which offers fantastic game viewing opportunities in the early morning. Break for lunch at the camp then afterwards another afternoon game drive till sunset in the park which is famously known for the big five and migration of wildebeest (seasonal between July and October). Animals that are easily spotted include elephant, buffalo, lion, and bird species and plains game. Transfer back to accommodation in the evening for rest and dinner.

Day 2: Masai Mara

Early breakfast by 6.30am followed by morning game drive for an opportunity to visit the scenic hippo pool and the Mara River whose winding banks are the lifeline of the park as it provides regular water supply to the ecosystem. If lucky, witness the rare crossing of wildebeest at one of the popular crossing points (July & October). The river banks and the marsh regions are also best areas to spot the cats. After lunch continue with an afternoon game drive till evening. Optional activities include: Cultural visit to a Masai village ($25 per person); hot air balloon ride above the spectacular Masai Mara ($435 per person); visit to the local Masai women arts and crafts center where you can see how the local women earn their livelihood through making traditional jewelry (free visit); visit a local school when school is in session to see how the Masai children are taught (free visit). As the sun sets you are transferred back to the camp for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Masai Mara / Nairobi

Early breakfast at 6.00am then check out of the camp and proceed for a short morning game drive for the last chance to spot animals that you could have missed out on the previous days. After the game drive, you are transferred to Olkiombo Airstrip to catch the 1100hrs flight back to the city. Reach Nairobi at 1215hrs and be met by the driver for a transfer back to your preferred hotel in the city. Alternatively we can arrange for a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport to connect with your international flight.

Cost includes:

- All park fees / conservation fees in Masai Mara
- Game drives in a private safari vehicle with pop up roof 
- Bottled water during the safari
- Complimentary airport transfers
- Accommodation and all meals in stated camp
- Services of an experienced professional English speaking guide
- Domestic flights as indicated in itinerary (WILSON / MASAI MARA)
