What to Expect

This 1 day tour takes you to wildlife & birdlife rich game park of Lake Nakuru. It hosts lion, leopard, the rare Rothschild giraffe and the highly endangered rhino which are well protected with 24-hour surveillance in the special sanctuary. The park is more famous for being home to thousands of the pink colored flamingo that congregate on the lake while feeding on the algae. Besides, it is also home to over 450 species of other birdlife, from the giant while heron, to the stork, sacred ibis, egret and hornbill among others. The park also hosts a picturesque waterfall (Makalia) and very photogenic viewpoint (Baboon Cliff). 

Day 1

Early morning, you will be picked up by your driver-guide from your Nairobi hotel and after a briefing depart westwards to the Rift Valley City of Nakuru where you arrive the game park in time for a morning game drive. This takes you through the forest rich in trees like the yellow-backed acacia, giant euphorbia candelabrum and other plant species. These make a perfect home to wildlife, most notably the rare Rothschild giraffe, varioys antelope species, buffalo, lion, leopard and a high population of the endangered rhino. The park is home to thousands of the pink-colored lesser * greater flamingo plus over 450 other bird species, making it an ornithologist's paradise

Drive through the Baboon Cliff and Makalia Falls and a lunch break either as picnic or in your game lodge. 

Afternoon you proceed for an en-route game drive round the lake as you exit the park for your drive back to Nairobi city. Arrival here in the evening marks the end of your excursion.
