This park is a hikers' paradise and is home to the strato-volcanic Mt. Longonot that has an altitude of about 2,700 Meters. One does not special mountain climbing equipment to make the 1 hour scaling to the peak and giving it another 2 hours to go round the mesmerizing crater ring. From the top, one is able to view the Rift Valley jewel lakes of Naivasha, Elementaita and Nakuru at a distance. Sometimes herds of buffaloes can also be seen moving on its southern side. You descend and after this fulfilling hike, enjoy your take-away picnic at the base
