This is another hikers' paradise, about 10 km from Nakuru. This largest caldera in Kenya is an old dormant volcano with magnificent features. One can view steam jets releasing heated underground water pressure both on the walls and at the bottom. The crater is also a home of various birdlife and wildlife including the hyena and duiker. Interesting mythological tales on spirits abound about the place. From here can you also visit the nearby GDC plant that's working on steam-jet production projects.
