Day 1
Arrival in Nairobi
Upon your
arrival in Nairobi, Kenya, you'll be warmly welcomed by a Nature Expeditions representative.
You'll then be transferred to your comfortable accommodation, where you can
settle in and rest after your journey. This evening, you'll have the
opportunity to meet your knowledgeable guide who will be with you throughout
the adventure. During this introductory session, you'll receive a briefing
about the exciting 9-day ecotourism expedition that lies ahead. Enjoy a
relaxing night's stay in Nairobi.
Day 2
Nairobi to Solio Ranch
After
breakfast, check out and drive to the captivating Solio Ranch Conservation
Reserve. As you arrive at Solio Ranch, you'll be immediately immersed in the
beauty of this pristine wildlife conservation area. Your first game drive in
the reserve will introduce you to the incredible wildlife, including the
magnificent black rhinos that call this place home. You'll have the chance to
capture these moments through photography and relish the exhilaration of being
in the midst of such vibrant nature. As the day winds down, enjoy the
tranquility of the reserve and engage in discussions about the local ecology.
Your night will be spent at Solio Ranch.
Day 3
Solio Ranch
Start the day
with an early morning game drive, when animals are at their most active. Learn
about the rhino conservation efforts and other crucial projects that are taking
place within the reserve. In the afternoon, take a guided nature walk, allowing
you to intimately connect with the diverse flora and fauna of the area. The
beauty of the surroundings and the presence of wildlife make for a serene and
enriching experience. As the sun sets, unwind and enjoy the ambiance of Solio
Ranch. Your overnight stay will once again be within the reserve.
Day 4
Solio Ranch to Lake Naivasha
After
breakfast, check out and drive to the picturesque Lake Naivasha. This
freshwater lake is nestled amidst lush greenery, providing a stunning backdrop
for your adventures. Embark on a boat ride on the lake, where you'll encounter
a variety of bird species and the playful antics of hippos. Your exploration
continues as you visit Crescent Island, where a nature walk brings you closer
to giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife. The experience is immersive, offering
a unique chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Enjoy a relaxing
evening by the lake before retiring for the night.
Day 5
Lake Nakuru National Park
After
breakfast, check out and depart to the renowned Lake Nakuru National Park. This
park is famous for its vibrant flamingo population and diverse birdlife. As you
venture into the heart of the park on a game drive, you'll have the opportunity
to spot not only flamingos but also rhinos, lions, and other fascinating
wildlife. A picnic lunch within the park allows you to savor the beauty of your
surroundings while indulging in a delicious meal. Don't miss the chance to
capture the stunning views of the lake and its environs. Your night will be
spent near Lake Nakuru.
Day 6
Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
After breakfast, check out and depart to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara is a world-renowned safari destination, known for its breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Your arrival marks the beginning of an exciting adventure filled with game drives, where you'll have the chance to encounter Africa's incredible animals in their natural habitat.
Day 7
Masai Mara
The day promises exhilarating game drives in the Masai Mara. Packed meals
allow you to maximize your time exploring this expansive reserve. Keep an eye
out for the Big Five - lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos - as
well as other fascinating creatures that call the Mara home. If you've chosen,
an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride offers a unique perspective over the
vast savannah. Picnic amidst the wilderness and soak in the magic of the Mara
before returning to your accommodation for the night.
Day 8
Masai Mara
The day
begins with a morning game drive. The adventure then takes a cultural turn as
you visit a Maasai village. Immerse yourself in their traditional way of life,
engaging in cultural exchanges and perhaps acquiring some of their handmade
crafts. The rest of the day offers relaxation or optional activities, such as
guided nature walks. Your night will once again be spent in the Mara.
Day 9
Departure to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Nairobi. Arrive in time for lunch, organized at your discretion. In the evening, you'll be transported to J.K.I.A for your international flight back home.
