This is a headland rather than an island, in Msambweni, Kwale County. It is a sacred “Kaya” (worshipping forest) for the local community. The beach here is made of a stretch of stunning white sands protected by a vibrant coral reef. Besides the rich flora and fauna, the island has an inland tidal mangrove lake. Beautiful coral fauna and flora can be seen while snorkelling, dolphin tours (where humpback whales can also be seen), deep-sea diving, island excursions, Mangrove Boardwalks and Dhow Cruise.
