As the saying goes and with a reason, “there’s always something for everyone at the Giraffe Centre”. Run by a Kenyan non-profit organisation that aims at educating the locals on the country’s wildlife and environment through its Nature Education Centre, it gives the international community a chance to get, up, close & candid with the giraffe. It is located at the Langata area and has Rothschild giraffes rescued from the wild and then breeding of their calves in captivity and then translocating them back to the wild, to national parks like Ruma, Nasolot and Lake Nakuru. At the giraffe centre, a visitor gets a chance to feed the animals directly from the palms of their hands and even take photos with them
