What to Expect
Amboseli is the Ruler of African Skies as it hosts the backdrop of the Majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain free-standing at an altitude of 5,895 Meters. A visit to the park treats one with a rich experience of wildlife, including big elephant population with very huge tasks, leopard, lion, various antelope species, reptiles and birdlife among other unique attractions. The rapturous vegetation zones, climate and landscape is quite dramatic here with small observation hill, wildlife-laden swamps, riverine, bush and shrub, dust-bowls, seasonal lake Empusel amongst others plus the dramatic whirlwinds during the dry season. The park offers accommodation of international repute with lodges and camps rated at different stars. A visit and game-drive is the visitors right therapy.
Day 1
Early morning, you will be picked up by your driver-guide from your Nairobi hotel and after a briefing depart eastwards to Email Junction and turn right with further drive southerly to Amboseli national Park "The Roof of Africa". Arrival at the park is in time for a morning game drive. This takes you through a rapturous vegetation zone from riverine to dust bowls, dry lake and dry bush to forests and swamps. These provide home to a very huge wildlife population with the park being famous for elephants with giant ivory, lion, leopard, buffalo, waterbuck and leap springer among others. The birdlife is quite prolific. All these happn under the watchful eye of the Majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro whose Kibo peak stands at an altitude of 5,895 Meters.
After lunch (either picnic or at your lodge) will you have an en-route game drive and exit the park for your journey back to arrival. Arrival in the city is later in the afternoon, marking the end of your day excursion.
